This blog is written and maintained by me, Kees Wiebering. Originally from the Netherlands, I live in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
I am an independent professional in the peacebuilding sector, with a long history of dealing with dialogue, conflict and social change. I work as a consultant, coach and facilitator.
From the mid 1990s onwards, I have been on various short-term and long-term missions in the Western Balkans. I facilitated dialogues between representatives from political parties and NGOs. For several years, I lived in Kosovo, working as head of mission in the NGO sector. Since 2004, I have been working independently, mostly in development cooperation, peacebuilding, climate change and activism.
I am an engineer and philosopher with a strong interest in ethics, society and technology. I studied physics and philosophy, with a special focus on the impact of technology on society. Next to my consulting work, I teach at the University for Peace in Costa Rica.
